FIRST EVER EASIER/ENTRY LEVEL RIDE

FROM JO: I went on Dawn’s ride on Saturday (17 November) and had a fantastic time. It was really good as I didn’t feel out-numbered by very fit sporty people as I had when I attempted a main group ride a few months ago. We mainly stayed on the bridle paths but did do some single track which I’m gradually getting used to and getting a bit more confident about. When we were whizzing through the trees on the main paths it was brilliant because of the scenery, the exercise and the people I was cycling with. Am definitely coming next week and look forward to seeing everyone again.

FROM NINI: I had such a fantastic ride today and I think I can speak for the other two new girls Jo and Rachel. Dawn and Ian were just brilliant guides for us newbie’s and gave us so many tips along the way. Poor Dawn got a puncture and then further along the ride, as we were tackling our second single track, so did Teddy! I’m glad I could assist with my spare inner tube and gained a crash course on changing one – twice. I was buzzing the whole time. I feel so happy I have found a new hobby to replace my horsey lifestyle/ social I have had to unfortunately leave behind. I’m definitely going to get the bug and can’t wait for the next ride! Please forward my thanks to Dawn and Ian.

Thanks Dawn and Ian for the excellent ride on Saturday. And thanks also to the rest of the group for your excellent company! It was well worth the drive over from West London and I loved the forest! A perfect pace for those just getting used to the off road, a new bike or for that matter a rather dodgy hire bike! Will definately be back soon – hopefully a little less squeaky!
